Celebrating 4th of July, Baltimore Style

CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH ENTERTAINMENT AND FIREWORKS
AT BALTIMORE'S INNER HARBOR

The skies above Baltimore will be illuminated by some of the most amazing fireworks ever viewed in the region. Baltimore's Fourth of July Celebration presented by Maryland Army National Guard includes street performers to delight visitors during the day and sizzling music performances at night to dazzle guests on Tuesday, July 4. The day starts with a myriad of street performers taking center stage from noon to 4 p.m. at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater located at Light and Pratt streets. American roots duo Double Edge kicks off the evening entertainment with their full quintet sound at 5:30 p.m. followed by top 40 band Radiant with everything from jazz to top 40 dance to country at 7 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., the spectacular fireworks display, choreographed to music, culminates the day.

Also, the Top of the World Observation Level offers extended hours for a bird's eye view of the Fourth of July fireworks from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children 3-12. Top of the World is located on the 27th floor of the World Trade Center at 401 East Pratt Street. For more information, call 410-837-VIEW or visit www.viewbaltimore.org.

The holiday fireworks can be viewed from several locations in downtown and beyond including Federal Hill, Fell's Point, Canton and Rash Field. Everyone can bring radios to listen to the live simulcast on MIX 106.5.

In addition, the Baltimore Beach Volleyball Tournament is held Tuesday, July 4 at 2 p.m. at the Inner Harbor's Rash Field located on Key Highway. Men, women, and co-ed teams as well as singles are invited to register from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Also, participants can register at www.baltimorebeach.com or call 410-752-4805. The tournament is produced by Baltimore Beach in cooperation with the City of Baltimore Recreation & Parks.
